Pet of the Week 9/30 – Atlas

3 year old Atlas was found wondering the streets in the Pittsburgh area, before he was rescued. He would love to chart his way to a fresh beginning, and navigate his way into your furever home.

Atlas is neutered, UTD, house broken and crate trained. Atlas enjoys company of all people young and old. He currently lives in a foster home with their resident dog and children ages 6-17. His loyalty and affection will quickly make you the center of his world.  With a slow and thoughtful introduction, he has done well with non-aggressive dogs.

Atlas is eager to follow the training route you set forth; he knows basic commands and looks forward to learning some more.

Just like Atlas, the God of Strength and Endurance, his has been tested.  You see, Atlas is in heartworm recovery (don’t worry, it is not at all contagious). He is healing up amazingly after finishing his treatment, and is following a low activity routine (just for now) of short explorations. And rest assured his heartworm related vetting is covered by Paws Across Pittsburgh.

Atlas absolutely loves to take his journeys in car rides. He enjoys being treated to bully sticks & antlers. But most of all, the one thing he desires the most is your love and affection.

So are you ready to finish out this journey with him? If so, Atlas is available for adoption through Paws Across Pittsburgh.
